Comprehensive exam

This exam consists, in part, of the hygienist and Dr. Oliveira looking inside your mouth. They look in your mouth for things that can affect your oral—and your overall—health. Many of these things are invisible to the untrained eye. Your dentist will, however, be able to detect them.

Composite restorations

Treating cavities is essential to avoid further destruction of the affected teeth. A composite restoration—also known as a “white filling”—is basically the filling of the teeth using a restorative material that is the same color as the teeth.

Removable prosthesis

Partial dentures are removable dental prostheses that are used for patients that are missing some of their teeth; the restoration is anchored or latched onto the patient’s remaining natural teeth. They may have a metal framework and clasps that connect to your teeth, or they can have other connectors that are more natural looking.

Hygiene therapy

Hygiene therapy is the only efficient way to eliminate bacteria and deposits that cause irreversible damage to gum and teeth if they are not properly removed. We therefore recommend making an appointment for hygiene therapy every six months, although frequency can vary from one patient to another.
